What Makes the Floater and San Juan Sunglasses Float?
The Floater model and our NEW SAN JUAN floating model fitted with 1.1mm Acetate Lenses have a density of 0.95 GM/ML while fresh water the density is 1.00 GM/ML and salt water ranges between 1.03 and 1.05 GM/ML, hence these sunglasses float in even the most turbulent water.
The Barz dual moulded Floater frame is available in four unique colours plus many lens options to choose from. Floater Polycarbonate Non Polarised Sunglasses

The ‘Floater’, a floating sunglass which floats like no other.
Other floating sunglasses only work in calm waters. Barz have put their new Floater to the test in the surf and haven’t been disappointed. The frame floats in even the most turbulent water.
The durable TR90 frame is available in four unique colours:
•Gloss Carbon Fibre (grey and silver weave) with grey temples and nose piece
•Matt Tortoiseshell with tan temples and nose piece
•Matt Grey with apple green temples and nose piece
•Matt Black with grey temples and nose piece
All frames feature non-slip temples and nose piece. The nose piece is padded to reduce injury to the wearer from frontal impact.
The Floater is fitted with high quality Japanese Polycarbonate Non Polarised lenses.
PLEASE NOTE: This model has non polarised GREY PC lenses only.

The Floater is fitted with the highest quality Polycarbonate Photochromic Polarised lenses infused with Melanin.
The Floater photochromic lens lightens in low light conditions to Cat 2 and darkens to Cat 3 in full sun. Photochromic lenses are ideal for any outdoor activity in all weather conditions.
Melanin is the most powerful protection that the body and eye have against UV as it absorbs the higher energy light that does the damage.
Combined with high quality polarisation - Barz Optics melanin lenses offer fantastic protection as well as visual clarity and colour balance in harsh environments around water.

The San Juan high tech frame is moulded in three parts with the first two components sonic welded to create air cells before being placed back into the injection moulder where the sanaprene non-slip components are attached.
